EISI SHOWCASE - GALVESTON, TX
Energy Industry Support International had a chance to explore the Galveston Island Convention Center and the beautiful hotels of The San Luis Resort Spa & Conference Center and the Hilton Galveston Island Resort.
Ciara Basile with Visit Galveston started the day with an overview of the amazing services that Visit Galveston has to offer – from help with meeting planning and site selection to securing sleeping rooms. Our attendees learned so much about the complimentary convention and visitors bureau services.
Upon our arrival in Galveston, Melonee Scurlock with The San Luis Resort Spa & Conference Center gave us a tour of the Galveston Convention Center that is managed by The San Luis Resort. The beautiful convention center has large and small spaces with free parking and with meeting services and an on-site kitchen managed by The San Luis Resort.
We then made our way to the Hilton Galveston Island Resort where we were given a tour of the beautifully renovated new sleeping rooms with sleek floors and a warm color palette. We were also given an overview of the wonderful new additional hotel renovations.
At The San Luis Resort Spa & Conference Center, we were wowed with the floor to ceiling beautiful holiday decorations, and the hotel rooms – all with beachfront views. We received an exclusive view of the private villas complete with upscale decor and a private pool and lounge area. We also discovered the versatile meeting spaces that were perfect for any size event and outstanding meeting packages.
Our day ended with introductions to the Landry’s and Visit Galveston teams, and an informative presentation of all the properties and services available to us by the Landry’s group. We were also treated to a delicious buffet of delectable dishes – baked fish with crawfish, burnt ends, chicken fried steak, grilled vegetables, a gumbo bar, mini tarts, and a bread pudding to die for!
