Michelle Kennedy

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

Michelle joined Worley in January 2019, where she currently serves as Senior Executive Assistant to SVP, Data Products & Artificial Intelligence and SVP, Digital Architecture & Information Security.

Prior to joining Worley, Michelle worked at Equinor (formerly Statoil) for more than 12 years. She supported Hydro’s General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer before being promoted to Executive Assistant to the CEO/President in December 2006.

Following the Hydro–Statoil merger in October 2007, she became Executive Assistant to Statoil’s CEO/President. During her tenure, Michelle also provided executive support to senior leaders in Business Development, Strategy, and Communications, and served as the company’s Houston Admin Network Coordinator, as well as Toyota Center and NRG Suite Administrator.

Before her corporate energy career, Michelle spent over 20 years as an executive assistant in the legal industry, supporting partners and leadership teams at Porter & Hedges, Thompson & Knight, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Michelle’s professional experience includes event planning, project management, business development, and corporate, litigation, and probate support. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and holds an Executive Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Business Administration & Government from Texas Woman’s University. She also earned her Tradeshow Marketer Certification from Northern Illinois University.

A lifelong learner with a strong interest in emerging technology, Michelle is a member of Black Women in Artificial Intelligence and enjoys exploring how innovation can enhance community engagement and experiential events. She was featured in Medium technology magazine in an article highlighting the creation of the first AI powered debutante experience, where tradition and technology intersected to deliver a groundbreaking community event.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys event planning, traveling, volunteering, working with teens, and serving her community. She is an avid New Orleans Saints fan and a proud member of the Who Dat Nation Social & Pleasure Club / Charitable Foundation of Houston, Texas, Jack & Jill of America, Inc. – South Belt Houston Chapter and The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. She has two adult children.
