EiSi Sends a Sincere Thank You to Zondra Jones and St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission!

The places we have gone…the things we have done…and the FOOD we have eaten!! Our fantastic friends at Louisiana Northshore, St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission showed us all about the wonderful food, entertainment, event spaces, hotels and so much more that they have to offer their visitors. Adventure…we had it! A fun and educational swamp tour put us up-close and personal with Louisiana’s wildlife complete with alligators, raccoons and ginormous spiders! It was a trip to remember and we loved learning about the beautiful and rich history.

We invite you explore some of the sites and venues. Here are just some of the awesome places to discover:

  • Courtyard by Marriott who recently completed a 2.5-million-dollar renovation.
  • Site La Provence and Maison Lafitte. These unique event venues are owned by a local resident and can host corporate meetings, lunches, and dinners.
  • Dine at Pat’s Rest Awhile. This 19th century raised, and renovated establishment offers fresh seafood and a variety of local menu favorites along with wine and old-fashioned cocktails. Opened in early 2021 and can accommodate corporate events and business lunches & dinners.
  • Tour the Honey Island Swamp – Louisiana’s 1st nature conservancy area. Venture into untouched bayous with a native tour guide and see nesting grounds for wild animals like alligators, wild boar & more!
  • The Slidell Harbor Center- The Harbor Center can accommodate luncheons, social and professional gatherings, and training seminars fit comfortably in their flexible spaces. The Harbor Center can accommodate small groups of 20-60 in a single meeting space and expand that space to hold twice or three times that number up to 2000 people.
  • Palmetto’s on the Bayou offers Cajun Brunch combined with live Creole or Zydeco music over New Orleans traditional brunch fare & seafood specialties.
  • Relax and unwind while cruising on the Tchefuncte River. Take in the natural beauty that flanks our riverbanks and catch a glimpse of the Madisonville Lighthouse.
  • Dine at Tchefuncte’s, an upscale restaurant that specializes in Louisiana and American cuisine highlighting St Tammany’s freshest ingredients, overlooking the scenic view of the Tchefuncte River.
  • Indulge in a French inspired Brunch, all in the warm and vibrant environment of the newly designed Gloriette restaurant, set in the Southern Hotel. This impeccably restored 42 room hotel, with additional 5 executive suites located in the Garden Guest House makes the property ideal for executive retreats.

A huge thank you to our good friends and hosts Zondra White Jones and Tico Soto. They are EXCEPTIONAL and made our visit to St. Tammany Parish one we will never forget!
