Registrants of the 2022 OGE CVE will have the opportunity to participate in a field trip to the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum – a retired jack-up drilling rig that operated in the Gulf of Mexico from 1969 to 1984 and drilled over 200 wells during that timeframe.  In 1995, the OEC purchased the Ocean Star, and after lengthy refurbishment, opened it as a museum in 1997.

The field trip is included in your registration fee (at no additional cost).  It will give conference registrants the opportunity to see how a portion of the energy industry operates as well as an opportunity to network with conference attendees.
